EVENT CALENDAR
Within the scope of the European Week of Sports events, it is aimed for approximately 4.5 million people, regardless of age, gender and ethnicity, and with the multiplier effect, the entire population of our country, 85 million, to be a part of this project with sports and physical activity.
In the forthcoming 2024 editions of the European Week of Sport, a renewed focus will be placed on "Promoting European Values and Convergence with Olympic Values." This emphasis will underscore the shared principles of respect, excellence, and friendship inherent in both European and Olympic traditions. Concurrently, the event will be orchestrated in a manner that is "Responsible and Environmentally Sustainable," ensuring that all promotional materials are circulated in a manner that is limited, proportionate, and environmentally conscious.
The primary target audience of our project has been determined as 7 cities with high tourism and population density in Türkiye (Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Rize, Malatya and Eruzum).
During the European Week of Sports (September 23-30), a national event(Beactive Village Istanbul) and 115 different outdoor event will be organized in 7 provinces among the primary target audience of our project, and various events will be held with our project stakeholders to raise awareness about sports and healthy living.

For the national highlight of the European Week of Sport, our vision culminates in the "Beactive Sports Village in Istanbul," an event crafted to embody the spirit of the initiative while engaging the public and attracting significant media attention.
Our regional and local activities in 7 provinces will be as follows:
İstanbul:
As the cultural and economic powerhouse of Türkiye, Istanbul will lead the charge in merging sports with the ethos of European unity and Olympic spirit. The city's large youth demographic will be engaged through a series of 35 diverse events in between the 23rd and 30th of September in 2024.
Ankara:
The capital city will host 25 events in between the 23rd and 30th of September in 2024, where its young citizens and university students will be encouraged to embrace Olympic values.
İzmir:
With 15 events planned in between the 23rd and 30th of September in 2024, İzmir will be a beacon of healthy living and European solidarity.
Antalya:
Antalya's 10 events will reflect its status as a touristic gem, offering both residents and visitors the chance to engage in sports that highlight the natural beauty of the Mediterranean region in between the 23rd and 30th of September in 2024.
Erzurum:
Positioned in the eastern part of Türkiye, Erzurum will utilize its unique climate and topography to host outdoor activities that align with Olympic winter sports.
Malatya:
Known for its cultural richness, Malatya will curate 10 events in between the 23rd and 30th of September in 2024 that intertwine physical fitness with cultural education, providing a holistic approach to the European and Olympic values of cultural diversity and mutual understanding.
Rize:
In the lush backdrop of the Black Sea region, Rize will contribute 10 events to the European Week of Sport in between the 23rd and 30th of September in 2024.
