ABOUT US

Eurpean Week of Sport is an important prjoect which is traditionally held every year between 23-30 September and It's mainly aimed at bringing together people from every walk of life, at any age and raising awareness about being active.

It has been concluded that this important event will be supported by European Commission despite the fact that Turkey is not yet a member of EU due to the fact that HIS Turkish Sports for All Federation has been granted the authority to coordinate European Week of Sport events by The Ministry of Youth and Sports as a result of previous successful projects (Let’s Walk Together, HisApp, HIS Festivals and Sports for All Daily events) together with approval by European Commission.

Turkish Sport for All Federation has been granted authority to coordinate the whole set of events under the scope of European Week of Sport.

The main objective of the project within the scope of European Week of Sport is to encourage approximately 4.5 million people to participate in these events regardless of age, gender or ethnicity, and while doing so, to make all 83 million people living in our country feel that they are a part of this project when the multiplier effect of 4.5 million participants is taken into account. While the general objective of this project is all 81 provinces of our country, the most important target audience is the 7 provinces with the highest population and tourism potential (Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya, Erzurum, Malatya, Rize). During European Week of Sport (September 23-30), 115 different outdoor events will be organized in the 7 major provinces mentioned above, and also various events aimed at raising awareness about sports and healthy living will be organized in our 81 provinces in cooperation with stakeholders under the umbrella of our Federation.
