European Sports week will be celebrated in 81 cities and their counties across Turkey!
President of Turkish Sports for All Federation Yasin Bölükbaşı visited Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Muharrem Kasapoğlu as to deliver a briefing on planned activities and events regarding the upcoming European Sports Week.
Each year between 23-30 September, European Sports Week, which is celebrated throughout Europe with various events in order to spread sports activies to public as a whole, raise awareness in terms of making an active lifestyle a routine for people from every walk of life and increase general awareness in this field, will also be celebrtaed simultaneously with various events in 81 cities and their counties in Turkey.
Ministry of Sports and Youth which set a good example with their projects and facility developments across the world, is continueing to do so in their new line of projects. In addition to Ministry of Youth and Sports’ stimulus to country’s sportive activities, Turkish Sports for All Federation’s evidently successful projects ( Let’s walk together, Hisapp Mobile App, His Festivals, Sports Days for All etc.) conducted in parallel with the ministry caught attention of European Parliament and as a result of this full authority as to manage and coordinate all events that will be held within the scope of European Sports Week in 2020 was granted to Turkish Sports for All by European Sports Commission and Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sports. Also, President of Sports for All Federation Yasin Bölükbaşı has been titled as the special envoy for European Sports.
The President of Turkish Sports for All, Yasin Bölükbaşı and the Secretary General Mustafa Karakuş, during their visit, provided detailed and extensive information regarding the events to be held in 81 cities and their counties within the scope of European Sports Week to the Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Muharrem Kasapoğlu. President Bölükbaşı described the European Sports Week as a significant opportunity, quoting “Our Ministry of Sports have delivered valueable and envy of the world projects such as 10.000 basketball courts, let’s learn how to swim, sportive scouting test and many more over the last 18 years. European Sports Week should be considered not only a series of events but it should also be regarded as a golden opportunity for our country when it comes to promoting our valueable work and projects because throughout this week all eyes in Europe will be on these events being held in Turkey.
Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu stated that he is ultimately pleased that our federation will be managing and coordinating this project. Quoting that “We will be on the field once again with our organizations and support throughout European Sports Week 23-30 September, just as we were last year when we held Let’s Walk Together event in 81 cities across Turkey.
